Inverness Harrier Abbie McNally hopes by competing at the CPISRA World Games she can inspire other people with disabilities to reach their true sporting potential.

The Alness para-athlete is heading to Spain on Monday as the teenager looks to continue her impressive athletics career.

McNally (17), who has cerebral palsy, will be taking part in the 100 metres, 200 metres and the long jump as she hopes to be competing for medals in each event.

She has enjoyed an meteoric rise in the sport only starting in 2015. She said due to her disability she was reluctant to get involved in athletics, but thanks to the encouragement from her coach Charlie Forbes she is realising her potential.
