Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Brad McKay says the club’s poor form at the start of the season cost them a chance of promotion to the Premiership.

Caley Jags brought their fight for a place in the play-offs to the final day of the season but agonisingly fell two points short of finishing within the top four.

A 3-0 win at Greenock Morton on Saturday was not enough for ICT as Dunfermline’s 4-0 victory against Dumbarton was enough for the Pars to secure the final spot.
