Teenager Max Ewan scored twice to help Nairn County secure a shock 3-0 victory over Forres Mechanics in the Highland League.

The 18-year-old was the man of the match following an excellent performance with new signing Liam Shewan also finding the net at Station Park.

Despite being nine places below and 30 points behind Forres, Nairn were too good for the visitors on Wednesday.

Manager Ronnie Sharp praised Ewan for his performance leading to arguably Nairn’s best win of the season.

“He only turned 18 at the end of last year,” said Sharp.

“But he proved what a real talent he is."
