Caley Thistle Women's boss Mason wants more consistency before end of season

Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women’s manager Karen Mason is still looking for her players to be more consistent as the season draws to a close.

There are seven games left to play in the Division One North for Caley Thistle, who claimed a 3-2 win against Kelty Hearts in their last outing.

But that was a less comfortable win than it could have been after conceding with 10 minutes to go, setting up a tense finale in Edinburgh.

It has been the story of ICT’s season that they have good spells and bad spells, so with the end of the campaign in sight Mason wants to see things tighten up.

“For us I think it’s still trying to get a consistency in our performances,” she explained.

“That’s something I’ve been asking for since the first game of the season, and it has still not quite come together.

“We can play 45 minutes really well and then slump for the next 45.

“We still struggle for consistency and getting our basics right. We’ve made a few mistakes of late.

“That’s something that I want to try and eradicate in order to try and build a title challenge next year.”
