With three months to go until the official start to the 2019, clubs are in the process of confirming their management teams ahead of their pre-season warm up matches for the start of the Marine Harvest league programme on Saturday March 2.

Iain MacLeod has stepped down from his role as manager of Glenurquhart and will be replaced by a player-management team of Stuart MacKintosh and Eddie Tembo.

Glen drop down a tier after finishing bottom of the Premiership and former internationalists MacKintosh and Tembo face the challenge of rejuvenating the fortunes of the Drumnadrochit club.

There’s also a change at the helm of newly promoted Kilmallie where another former internationalist John Stewart takes over the reins from Mark MacPherson who made the decision to relinquish his role after three successful years in charge at Canal Park.

MacPherson steered Kilmallie to two National Division titles and two Balliemore Cup triumphs in addition to almost securing a place in the 2018 Camanachd Cup final before losing out to eventual winners Newtonmore in a dramatic semi final penalty shoot-out at An Aird.

Stewart will lead the ambitious Caol based side as they aim to build on MacPherson’s success when they face the sport’s elite next season.

Two South area Premiership sides also have new men in charge. Stephen Sloss replaces Iain Hay at Oban Camanachd whilst Kyles Athletic have appointed Dunky Kerr as James Perlich’s replacement.

National Division side Glasgow Mid Argyll will have Mark Bain managing their affairs replacing long serving manager George Hay.
