Stephen Feeney, who has coached former world champions Stephen Hendry, Shaun Murphy, Stuart Bingham and Mark Williams put players at the 147 Pool and Snooker Centre through their paces at Scotland’s first SightRight Snooker Seminar and Coaching week.

Over 20 players from Inverness, Caithness and Moray travelled to the club in Union Street to learn from Feeney tips and skills on how to improve their ability on the snooker table.

Sessions at the club were held all last week in small groups so players were able to take part in intensive but enjoyable sessions on the baize.

Inverness Snooker League co-founder John McAleaney says it was an excellent opportunity for players to learn from one of the best coaches in the game.

“It was an excellent session which everyone enjoyed and the players are keen to top up on what they have already learned,” he said,

“As a result of the training sessions, one player has hit a break of 76 which shows how beneficial they found it.

“The coaching sessions involved focusing on sight and aim to improve their shooting line and it was an excellent week for everyone involved.”
