Caley Thistle academy director resigns

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed that the club's academy director, Danny MacDonald, has resigned with immediate effect.

Head of youth development, Charlie Christie, will take over the role on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found.

Club chairman Graham Rae paid tribute to the contribution made by MacDonald as a player, coach, chief operating officer and most recently academy director.

He said: “We are sorry that Danny has tendered his resignation.

"It is with regret that the board has accepted it.

"We thank him sincerely for his hard work, commitment and good cheer while working for the Club.

"We wish Danny and his family the very best for the future.”
