KELSEY MacDonald has been named as the fourth reserve for Great Britain and Ireland's Curtis Cup squad to face America at Nairn Golf Club in June.

The 21-year-old, a member at nearby Nairn Dunbar Golf Club, was aiming to win selection to the eight-strong squad that will take on the USA between 8-10th June.

MacDonald was part of last weekend's squad get-together at Nairn where Great Britain and Ireland team captain Tegwen Matthews, along with coaches and officials from the Ladies' Golf Union, made their decisions regarding final selections.

The full Great Britain and Ireland squad to face America in this year's Curtis Cup is as follows:

Reserves - 1 Lisa Maguire (Slieve Russell GC), 2 Georgia Hall (Remedy Oak GC), 3 Becky Harries(Haverfordwest GC), 4 Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar GC).

Great Britain and Ireland will be striving to win the Curtis Cup for the first time since beating the United States at Killarney in 1996.
