Lovat to start Macaulay Cup campaign at Strathpeffer

LOVAT will attempt to end their 67-year wait to lift the Macaulay Cup starting at Caberfeidh in the first round.

The draw will see the Kiltarlity club, who finished third in the Premiership in 2019, travel to Castle Leod in the competition next season.

The winners will travel to either Fort William or Kinlochshiel in the quarter final.

The competition is split into north and south sections with the winners of each section meeting each other in the final.

Last season, Premiership champions Kingussie defeated Oban Camanachd 3-2 in the final to lift the cup for the 24th time.

Lovat will go into the new season with a new management team of co-managers Jamie Matheson and Alan MacRae.
