Lovat captain is named in 2022 shinty team of the year

LOVAT wingback Craig Mainland has been named in the MOWI Premiership Team of the Season.

He is the only representative from the Kiltarlity club in the 12 player team with six clubs recognised as the top 2022 team.

Over 5000 votes were cast as fans were asked to name the top players from the season.

John Gibson was named as manager of the year after leading Kingussie to a grand slam of trophies.
