North Caledonian League leaders Loch Ness sign striker from Highland League club Rothes

North Caledonian League leaders Loch Ness have signed forward Shane Harkness from Highland League club Rothes.

Rothes have confirmed the 22-year-old has left the club to move to Loch Ness after failing to get game time with the Speysiders.

Harkness came through the Caley Thistle youth academy and was on loan at Rothes before signing permanently in 2021.

He also spent time on loan at Strathspey Thistle last season.

The signing comes after Loch Ness stayed 10 points clear at the top of the North Caledonian League after a 5-3 win at Nairn County Colts yesterday.
