HIGHLAND LEAGUE - Nairn County denied win at champions as Fraserburgh grab late equaliser

NAIRN County were denied victory at Fraserburgh as a late equaliser meant both teams shared the points in a 2-2 draw at Bellslea.

Fraserburgh took the lead after four minutes when Ryan Sargeant fired home a close range effort.

But Nairn equalised from the penalty spot eight minutes later, when Ross Tokely scored his third goal in three matches to level the match.

Fraserburgh were awarded a penalty midway through the first half when Dylan MacLean fouled Scott Barbour in the box.

But Maclean redeemed himself when he saved Bryan Hay's spotkick as the score stayed at 1-1.

Nairn took the lead with 20 minutes remaining when a long throw from Cameron Lisle found Scotty Davidson who scored from close range.

But Fraserburgh equalised with five minutes remaining when Marc Lawrence’s shot was blocked by MacLean but Willie West was the first to the rebound to make it 2-2.
