Clachnacuddin fell to their seventh defeat of the Highland League campaign as Formartine United grabbed all three points late on in Inverness.

Shaun Sutherland put Clachnacuddin in the lead before Julian Wade equalised just before half time.

Bulgarian winger Danail Dimov then scored eight minutes before the end before Scott Lisle scored in injury time to take the three points back to Pitmedden.

Formartine were forced into an early substitute after nine minutes after Tyler Mykyta was forced off with a knee injury and was replaced by Cole Anderson.

Clachnacuddin had a golden chance to take the lead just before the half hour mark.

A misclearance by the Formartine defence fell to Gary Warren 10 yards from goal, but he shot wide of the left post.

But seconds later, Sutherland connected with a cross from the right wing and thundered a low drive into the bottom left corner of the net.

Formartine levelled the game on the stroke of half time when Julian Wade beat Clach's defence in the air to nod home an Aaron Norris cross from the right wing into the net.

Formartine came close to going in front midway through the second half as goalkeeper Martin Mackinnon pulled off a sensational save to deny Mark Gallacher's free kick finding the net.

But Formartine took the lead eight minutes from time when Dimov fired a thunderous effort from 20-yards out into the net.

The visitors killed the game off in injury time when Lisle scored from close range after a finishing off a swift counter attack.

Clachnacuddin now prepare for the North of Scotland Cup final against Brora Rangers at Grant Street Park next Saturday.
