Ross County 1 (White)

St Mirren 1 (Olusanya)

A last-gasp St Mirren strike denied Ross County three points that would have moved them out of the relegation play-off place in the Scottish Premiership.

Jordan White had given the hosts a first-half advantage in Dingwall, making the most of an Alex Gogic mistake to put the Staggies ahead in the 12th minute.

St Mirren fought valiantly to try and level the scores for much of the rest of the game, but they had to be patient – with Olutoysi Olusanya's equaliser eventually coming in the 90th minute.

With just one change between the two starting 11s – with Eli King coming into Ross County's line-up in place of Teddy Jenks – to see some early misplaced passes was something of a surprise.

The visitors certainly had not seemed to settle when a mistake at the back gave the Staggies a one-goal lead in the 12th minute.

Alex Gogic attempted to pass the ball back to his keeper, only for Jordan White to nip in ahead of Zach Hemming and go around the Buddies goalkeeper.

All that was left was to roll the ball into an empty net, which White duly did to claim his sixth goal of the season in all competitions.

County had to be on guard to prevent St Mirren responding quickly, with stopper George Wickens having to dive to his right to keep one effort out when Caolan Boyd-Munce's strike was deflected by Ryan Leak on its way through to goal.

It was a similar story from kick off in the second half, with Lewis Jamieson this time cutting inside from the right flank and forcing an acrobatic stop out of Wickens.

St Mirren continued to put the pressure on their hosts, with a particularly intense spell just after the hour mark, but they failed to make a breakthrough.

As the clock ticked down, substitutions from Buddies boss Stephen Robinson gave the visitors fresh impetus going forward, and County naturally began to sit back to defend their lead – which remained precarious at just a single goal.

St Mirren proved it to be just that, as Keanu Baccus' header sent Olutoysi Olusanya goal-side of Loick Ayina to finish into the bottom corner and equalise in the 90th minute.

Sharing the spoils means that Ross County remain in 11th place in the Scottish Premiership, while St Mirren move to within a point of fourth-placed Kilmarnock.

Man of the match: George Wickens – The Ross County goalkeeper may not have had too much to do in terms of saving shots at goal, but he rose to the occasion when called upon and commanded his box well to ease his side out from the pressure St Mirren were putting them under. He could do nothing about the goal he conceded, and in general it was another authoritative performance.
