INVERNESS professional Russell Knox returned to the main USPGA Tour last weekend, playing in the Valero Texas Open where he made only his second tournament cut of the season at this level.
The 26-year-old, making his debut this season on the USPGA Tour, produced cards of 71 and 72 for a 36-hole figure of 143.
Knox went on to complete the event with rounds of 73 and 75 for a four over par total of 292, which left him in a tie for 41st place and a pay cheque of $22,940.
Added to his winnings from the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico back in February ($23,495), Knox has now raised his earnings from the full tour to $46,435.
He was due to return to action yesterday where he is in a field that includes Northern Irishman Graeme MacDowall in the USPGA Zurich Classic of New Orleans event over the TPC Louisiana golf course.
