Knox knocking on door for Ryder Cup

RUSSELL Knox believes he is one competition win away from being selected into the Europe squad for the Ryder Cup.

The Inverness golfer put himself in contention to be chosen after winning the Irish Open last weekend, pocketing £877,000.

The 33-year-old who was at Nairn Dunbar Golf Course on Tuesday for the Russell Knox Junior Open, is currently eighth in the European rankings as he prepares to compete in the Scottish Open at Gullane today.
