Kinlochshiel record unbeaten run ends

Kinlochshiel's run of 26 games without defeat ended when they lost 2-1 to Newtonmore at Kirkton as Lovat moved level on points in the Marine Harvest Premiership with a 3-0 victory against Caberfeidh.

Newtonmore got off to a flying start and took an early 2-0 lead with Ian Robinson’s fourth minute opener was followed by Evan Menzies strike in the 19th minute.

John MacRae reduced the deficit to one in the 37th minute.

However despite placing a stubborn Newtonmore defence under pressure during spells in the second period, Shiel were unable to break through to salvage a point and maintain their record.
