Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 (Walsh)

Dundee United 1 (King)

ICT and Dundee United played out an entertaining draw at the Caledonian Stadium.

Despite a lack of goalmouth action for large parts of the game, both sides' attacking intent was there to serve up a good encounter.

Some nice passing through the middle led to Caley Thistle taking the lead after 18 minutes.

Joe Chalmers passed it to Liam Polworth, who smartly slipped in Tom Walsh.

The winger had plenty of time to pick his spot from just inside the box, and beat Siegrist to find the far corner of the net.

From there United set about trying to find an equaliser, and forced Mark Ridgers into multiple good saves before half time.

The last of the group was also the best, coming from a Matty Smith half volley inside the box that was veering towards the top corner.

In the second half it was again United who were pressing to find a goal, but clear cut chances were few and far between.

But they would find the breakthrough with little under 15 minutes left on the clock.

Former-ICT player Billy King found space on the edge of the box and struck the ball sweetly past Ridgers and into the bottom corner.

Pavol Safranko did have a chance to steal the points at the death, but his free header went straight into Ridgers' hands.
