Kiltarlity primary school Tomnacross wins top shinty award after dominant 2023 season

TOMNACROSS Primary School were among the major winners at the Camanachd Association Awards when their shinty team received the Gary Innes Award for School of the Year Award.

The Kiltarlity school received the award after a successful 2023 season, with the highlights including winning the MacKay Cup, North Shinty World Cup, and the Tulloch Homes Primaries Cup.

There was also success for Beauly Shinty Club when they received the Mowi Award for Innovation and Strathglass Shinty Club received the Mowi Award for Social Responsibility.

Jim Barr from Glenurquhart was also recognised when he won the Mowi Service to Women’s Shinty Award.

Robert Mabon from Kingussie was named Mowi National Player of the Year.

Glen MacKintosh from Newtonmore won the North Area Leagues Player of the Year and Ryan Craig won the South Area Leagues Player of the Year Award.
