KELSEY MacDonald has been named in the provisional Great Britain and Ireland squad for this year's Curtis Cup match against the United States.
The 21-year-old is one of 12 players to be selected in the preliminary line-up for the contest, which takes place in her hometown of Nairn between 8-10th June.
MacDonald was hoping for a call-up after being part of the Great Britain and Ireland team that last year overcame players from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa to win the Astor Trophy.
The Stirling University student also impressed when representing Great Britain and Ireland in the Vagliano Trophy the previous year.
MacDonald are her fellow squad members will now be watched by team captain Tegwen Matthews and the Ladies Golf Union international selection panel at a three-day team trial at Nairn Golf Club, where this year's Curtis Cup will take place, from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March.
The names of the players and reserves then chosen for the team to take on America will then be released on Tuesday 27th March.
