MARTIN Kaymer will be adding his considerable presence to an already top quality field for next month's Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart.

The German, who reached world number one by winning The Race to Dubai in 2010, is seeking to repeat the feat of his 2009 victory when he lifted the Scottish Open title at Loch Lomond.

The Ryder Cup star is still seeking his first victory of the season, but currently ranked 15th on the official World Golf Ranking, the 27-year-old will undoubtedly be a contender when the tournament takes place at Castle Stuart between 12-15th July.

Kaymer, currently 25th in The 2012 Race to Dubai, is the 10th Major champion to join an elite field for this year's Scottish Open that also includes defending champion and world number one Luke Donald, three-time Major winners Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington and Scotland’s own Open champions Paul Lawrie and Sandy Lyle.
