Endurance athlete Jenny Graham doesn’t just want to break the record to become the fastest woman to cycle around the world, she wants to smash it.

The Inverness athlete will set off from Berlin as she aims to break the world record of completing in the 18,000 mile journey in less than 144 days.

However she feels that she can break Italian Paola Gianotti’s record comfortably by competing the journey in 110 days.

Graham (38) doesn’t think setting such an ambitious target is beyond her.

"I think I can sit on the bike for 15 hours a day, I have already proved that and I quite enjoy it," she said.
