Inverness teenage golfer claims victory on Junior Scotland Tour

Inverness Golf Club member Summer Elliott claimed victory at the Junior Tour Scotland competition which took place at Golspie and Royal Dornoch.
She dominated the competition to win comfortably by 12 shots with a total score of 223 over 54 holes.
She hit a 73, 72 and 78 during each of her three rounds, beating Anna Mackay from Crail into second place with 235.
By winning the tournament, Elliott has now entered the World Amateur Golf Rankings and is number one junior girl in the Scottish Golf Order of Merit and number one in the Junior Tour Order of Merit.
Elliott also represented Scotland at the Quadrangular tournament held in Holland competing against Holland, Wales and Ireland.
Elliott won both her singles matches against Wales and Ireland, but lost her doubles against the Netherlands on the 18th hole.
Scotland finished in third place in the competition.
