Inverness sisters compete in badminton tournament in Ireland

Inverness City Badminton Club players Abi Barrie and Sophie Barrie competed at the Under-15 Irish Open and FZ Forza U19 Tournament respectively in Dublin.

Abi reached three semi finals in the under-15 category last weekend.

She reached the semi final of the singles competition and the women doubles competition with Anna Lucey O’Sullivan of Ireland.

In mixed doubles she secured a place in the final with her partner Rhys McAuley of Ireland.

Sophie reached the quarter finals of the mixed doubles with Scottish athlete Finlay Jack and competed in singles and women’s doubles at the event.
