It came nearly two years after his first, as Dobie (pictured) made his debut against Tonga back in October 2021.

Last Saturday, though, the former Highland mini came on in the 57th minute against Italy at Murrayfield, replacing Glasgow Warriors clubmate Ali Price at scrum half.

At that point, Scotland had just gone 15-6 ahead, but it would be another nervy finish against Italy, who pulled the deficit back to just two points shortly after.

Scotland, though, would not be caught, with Dobie helping his country to two more scores – a penalty kicked by Ben Healy and a try scored by Josh Bayliss – to secure a 25-13 win.
