Inverness Royal Academy pupil and Caley Thistle player called up to Scotland squad

Inverness Caledonian Thistle young prospect Ali Nixon has been named in the Scotland Schools squad which will compete in next year's Centenary Shield.

The Inverness Royal Academy pupil, who plays in midfield, is one of 18 players who have been selected to represent the Scottish Schools FA in the competition.

The competition features Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Wales.

The tournament will be played between February 23 and April 18.

Nixon has made one appearance for the Caley Thistle first team, playing in the 2-0 defeat to Hamilton Academical in the SPFL Trust Trophy last season.
