Inverness Harriers para-athlete receives top award from university

Para-athlete Abbie McNally has received a top award from the University of the Highlands and Islands and Highland and Islands Student Association.

The Alness athlete, who completed an HNC in coaching and developing sport, received a full blues award.

The Inverness Harrier specialises in the 100m, 200m and long jump.

She first got involved in the sport after competing in a Highland Disability Sport athletics competition in May 2015.

She landed silver medals in the 100m and 200m at the World Para Junior Champs in Switzerland last August.

She also took gold in the 200m and bronze in the 100m at the British Under-20 Championships in Bedford last September.
