Inverness Harriers athlete Julie Wilson wins gold in Scottish Veterans Championship in Glasgow

INVERNESS Harriers athlete Julie Wilson won 3000 metres gold at the Scottish Veterans Championships held in Glasgow last weekend.

Wilson came out on top in the over-50’s category when she claimed victory in an impressive time of 11 minutes 19.02 seconds.

Iain Johnstone claimed silver in the over-70’s category when he took second place in a time of 12:58.65.

Johnstone is now preparing for the European Masters Indoor Championships which will be held in Braga, Portugal between February 20 and February 27. Johnstone will be competing in the 1500 metres and 3000 metres race.
