Inverness Harrier Stephen Mackay qualifies for British Championship 1500 metres final in Manchester

Inverness Harriers athlete Stephen Mackay has qualified for the 1500 metres final at the British Championships in Manchester.

He recorded one of the top 13 times in the heats on Friday night when he finished fifth in his heat in a time of 3:47.28. His time was fifth fastest overall in the heats.

The final will be live on BBC One at 4:03pm.

Last night, Munlochy athlete and Inverness Harrier Kirsty Law became British discus champion for a second time.
