Inverness golfer called up to Scotland team for Home Internationals

INVERNESS golfer Summer Elliott has been called up to the Scotland team to play at the Girls' Home Internationals.

She is one of six girls named in the national squad which will compete at Lindrick Golf Club between August 8 and August 10.

Elliott has had a successful year, winning a number of major tournaments during 2023.

They include victories in the Stephen Gallacher Vase Paul Lawrie Junior Quaich and Barrie Douglas Scottish Junior Masters.

She also made history when she became the first girl to win the Inverness Golf Club Junior Championship.

Elliott played for Scotland at the European Girls’ Team Championship at Golf Club d’Hossegor in France.

She also reached the quarter finals of the Scottish Girls Amateur Championship.
