MAX Anderson says Inverness Caledonian Thistle must put out a statement that the Championship can’t be an easy ride for Dundee United.

Caley Thistle head to Tannadice tomorrow afternoon to face the league leaders who have been in rampant form this season.

Dundee United are top of the table by four points, undefeated in 11 matches, having won eight. They have scored 30 goals and only conceded four as they have stamped their authority as league favourites for the title and promotion.

Anderson, who is on a season long loan from Dundee, admitted United have been impressive this season.

However, he says Inverness and other teams in the division have to prove that the Championship won’t be a one horse race.

He said: “They will come in with a lot of confidence, a home game will suit them and we will look to upset them.”

He added: “We have to try and put out a statement that it is not Dundee United’s league and it is not an easy ride. That is what we have to try and do.

“We need to push, we have two wins and the draw with Partick Thistle and build the momentum.

“Once you get a few wins you try and push as long as you can. They are the same, we have to try and stop them.”

Anderson says the squad have been put through their paces by new manager Duncan Ferguson since he came in September.

But he has been impressed with how his new boss is conducting business.

“Training has been really good, a little bit more confident than we have been in the last few weeks. Going into this game we are going in positive and looking to get a good result.

“He is demanding a lot from everyone and pushing us every day, you can’t turn up to training and not want to push yourself. He makes sure every day is a difficult and challenging.”
