Inverness Caley Thistle sign former Manchester United academy and Burnley academy player Ben Woods

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed English midfielder Ben Woods on a deal until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old spent part of his youth career at Manchester United’s Academy signing for them at age nine and playing there until he was 16 years-old which included having been called up for England at age 15 before moving to fellow Premiership Academy Burnley at 16 years-old.

He left the club in 2022.

Woods has recently been on trial with Billy Dodds’ side and has now put pen to paper on his contract.

International clearance has gone through tonight and Ben will be available for selection for tomorrow’s cinch Championship game against Queen’s Park at the Caledonian Stadium.
