Inverness Caledonian Thistle remain undefeated in the league under manager Duncan Ferguson as they earned a point against leaders Dundee United at Tannadice.

Nathan Shaw gave Inverness Caledonian Thistle the lead six minutes into the second half but Kevin Holt levelled the score four minutes later with neither team finding a winner.

The draw means Inverness remain in ninth but are now one point ahead of Greenock Morton at the foot of the table.

Inverness had a great chance to take the lead early on when Max Anderson set up Billy Mckay whose low drive from eight yards was saved by Jack Walton and his second shot blocked for a corner.

Dundee United stamped their authority for most of the second quarter and should have gone in front before half time as they created a number of chances.

Glenn Middleton charged into the box and fired a low drive inches wide of right post.

Tony Watt then charged down the left wing and his cross found Louis Moult at the penalty spot unchallenged, but he mucked up his shot which posed no threat to the goalmouth.

Just before half time, Ridgers produced a great save to deny Kevin Holt's header.

But the ball fell straight to Scott McMann in the six yard box unchallenged, however, he blasted over the bar.

Inverness took the lead six minutes into the second half. Cameron Harper great low cross from the left wing and it finds its way to Shaw whose low drive finds the bottom left corner.

The lead only lasted five minutes when from a corner kick, Holt was the first to reach the ball and nodded a powerful header past Ridgers.

Neither team were unable to find a winner as they both settled for a point.
