It has been reported the 19-year-old, who has impressed for Celtic B in the Lowland League this season, is a target for head coach Billy Dodds.

It has also been reported Crewe Alexandra and Carlisle United have also made enquiries about the Englishman.

The speculation comes after Caley Thistle signed winger Jay Henderson on loan from St Mirren in their first signing of the transfer window.

The 20-year-old has played 38 times for the Buddies and could make his debut for Inverness against Cove Rangers at the Caledonian Stadium on Monday.

It has also been announced Inverness Caledonian Thistle are only taking back three players on loan from clubs in League Two and Highland League.

Despite Dodds saying last week he was planning to take back all players on loan to boost his injury hit squad, only Lewis Nicolson, Ethan Cairns and Robbie Thompson are confirmed to have been recalled early from their loan spells at Elgin City, Forres Mechanics and Clachnacuddin.

Aly Riddle is expected to stay at Clachnacuddin for their clash against Nairn County on Tuesday. Harry Hennem is now thought to be staying at Wick Academy with Lewis Munro still at Nairn County.

The move has been made due to the injury crisis at Inverness where nine first team players are out injured at present.
