Inverness Caledonian Thistle had to settle for a point at East End Park after Dunfermline kept a point with a late penalty.

Shane Sutherland’s strike six minutes before half time put Inverness in front.

But Steven Lawless scored from the penalty spot to earn the Pars a point.

Inverness have now drawn their last four matches and won their last five, going back to beating Greenock Morton 6–1 in December.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle made two changes to the squad that were held by Queen of the South as Manny Duku came in for Billy Mckay who was out of the squad.

Cammy Harper came in left wing to fill in the gap left in midfielder left by Scott Allardice who is out for the rest of the season.

Inverness were in front six minutes before half time when Reece McAlear charged towards the byline and crossed the ball across the face of goal to find Sutherland who volleyed the ball into the back of the net.

Dunfermline almost equalised instantly when Matthew Todd was left free for a header from eight yards out after connecting with a Ryan Dow cross. But goalkeeper Mark Ridgers read it perfectly and saved comfortably.

Dunfermline should have equalised 10 minutes into the second half as Steven Lawless's ball into the box eventually found its way to Kevin O'Hara in the six yard box but Ridgers pulled off a big save to keep Inverness in front.

Loan signing Logan Chalmers made his debut for Caley Thistle replacing Manny Duku midway through the second half.

Sam Pearson on loan from Bristol City also made his debut coming on for Cameron Harper 15 minutes from time.

Dunfermline were awarded a penalty seven minutes from time when David Carson was found guilty of handball and Steven Lawless sent Ridgers the wrong way to equalise.

Neither team could find a winner as they both settled for a point.
