Five years on: Celtic star still ranks Inverness Caley Thistle Scottish Cup win in 2015 as one of best moments in his career

Ryan Christie says he still ranks winning the Scottish Cup with Inverness Caledonian Thistle as one of the best moments of his career.

Since the club’s most famous day five years ago, the midfielder has gone on to become one of the best players in the country, winning league titles and cup competitions with Celtic.

However for the 25-year-old, winning the Scottish Cup with his home town team is still one of his favourite memories as a player so far.

He said: “Its definitely one of the best in terms of what an achievement it was.

“I think Inverness would do well to get to a Scottish Cup final again.

“With Celtic, we get to play in a lot of cup finals and the pressure is completely different as there is an expectation to win every competition we play in this country.

“When you win a cup with Celtic, it can be more relief than anything. But with Inverness, to have an achievement like that and to do it with a club I grew up supporting and came through the youth set-up was very special.”
