The club released a statement that Golabek wants to spend more time with his young family as the reason he is stepping away from the role.

His 46th and final match in charge of the club will be away to Halkirk United on Saturday, March 19.

Golabek took charge of Inverness Athletic in November 2019 and this season the club have struggled as they are currently bottom of the table.

Golabek will stay at the club and be part of a new look coaching team under the new manager who had not been appointed at the tie of going to press.

Club chairman Sandy Stephen said: “As a club, we can’t thank Jason enough for all his dedication to Inverness Athletic since he arrived.

“His commitment and desire to always try and improve players is something he should be very proud of. “

“Jason and his coaching team, year after year, have had to rebuild a squad that is able to compete in the ever-improving North Caledonian League.

Despite our current league position, they have this year again assembled an exciting young squad of players who will certainly improve in the coming seasons. “

“Jason steps down as Manager with the club and the North Caledonian League side in a far better place than it was when he became manager.”
