Inverness athlete Megan Keith continues dominance at Scottish under-20 level with win at Lanark

Megan Keith continued her dominant form as she claimed victory in the under-20 category at the Lanark Races.

The 19-year-old took the under-20 title in a time of 13 minutes and 22 seconds over the four kilometre course.

She finished fourth fastest woman overall and only 13 seconds behind Olympian Laura Muir who won the senior title in 13:09.

Morag Millar and Eloise Walker shared joint silver both coming in at 13:18.

Keith was 57 seconds ahead of Isla Calvert who was the second fastest under-20 athlete.

In the men’s race, Inverness Harrier Sean Chalmers finished seventh in 12:08.

Central Athletic’s Club Andrew Butchart claimed victory in the men’s race with 11:47 with club mate Jamie Crowe second in 11:53 and Lachlan Oates third in 11:56.

Andrew Johnstone of Inverness Harriers finished in 13:24.

Inverness athlete Luke Davidson finished sixth in the under-20 race with a time of 12:42.

Club mate Lucas Cairns crossed the line in a time of 13:26.

Julie Wilson who was competing in the 50’s women’s category crossed the line in a time of 17:08 as she finished in fourth place.
