Scotland shinty manager Garry Reid believes tomorrow’s shinty-hurling international against Ireland is an excellent chance to showcase the best athletes in the sport.
Bught Park in Inverness will host the annual clash between the two countries as Scotland’s top shinty players will take on Ireland’s top hurlers in an international rules contest.
The yearly encounter does have its critics due to the mixture of rules from both sports being incorporated into the one-off fixture.
But Reid says to the players, representing Scotland means everything to them.
“It is divided opinion whether it is good for the game or not,” says Reid.
