AN injury time own goal denied Clachnacuddin victory over Fraserburgh in the Highland League.

Harry Hennem gave them the lead at half time but Sean Butcher's header rescued a point for Fraserburgh.

Despite Fraserburgh dominating the first half, it was Clachnacuddin who took the lead against the run of play eight minutes before half time.

Robbie Thompson sent a ball through for Hennem to connect with and fire a low drive past Joe Barbour.

Scott Barbour thought he equalised for Fraserburgh in the second half when he nodded past Daniel Rae from close range, but he was ruled offside

James Anderson should have made it 2-0 midway through the second half when he beat the Fraserburgh defence to Connor Bunce's cross in the six yard box.

But he shot straight at Barbour who blocked his shot.

Clachnacuddin were unable to hold for victory when Butcher managed to nod the ball into the net with the last action of the game.

Clachnacuddin head to face Nairn County on Saturday.
