GREG Tansey scored twice as Caley Thistle began their three-game tour of England with a 4-2 victory over Yeovil Town at Huish Park.

Unbeaten in their previous four pre-season outings, Inverness looked to be in danger of surrendering that record when Ed Upson struck after eight minutes.

New signing Tansey, however, got his first goal in Caley Thistle colours with a header in the 16th minute to restore parity.

Nick Ross then had an effort cleared off the line before Inverness suffered yet another injury blow, young defender Josh Meekings having to be stretchered off after coming off second best in a challenge with Upson.

Caley Thistle continued to apply the pressure after the interval and were rewarded for their efforts, Tansey scoring from the spot after Andrew Shinnie had been felled inside the area, before the latter got himself on the scoresheet with a well-taken free-kick.

Dominic Blizzard gave Yeovil hope when he reduced the deficit to one, but substitute Richie Foran made sure of the victory for Inverness with his sixth goal of pre-season late on.
