Inverness Craig Dunain Women can put themselves within one good result of the knockout stages of the National Plate with a win this weekend.

A 22–17 win against Shetland last time out has put them in a strong position, but with Broughton having played a game more in Pool A ICD have slipped to second.

Crucially, Broughton have only taken a bonus point from two of their three wins, meaning the Inverness club's fate is still in their own hands.

If they can come away with all five points when they travel to Greenock Wanderers this weekend, they will be one win away from qualification.

In Caledonia North Four, Craig Dunain will have to take a back seat and hope Aberdeen University Medics can do them a favour in their title bid.

After Aberdeenshire’s failure to raise a team last week left Craig Dunain inactive, they were always scheduled to have a free weekend this time around.

But they will be keeping a keen eye on what happens, with the two teams above them set to face off when the Medics host leaders Ellon 2nd XV in what could turn out to be a decisive clash.
