The sport’s governing body in Scotland have announced its next virtual challenge which starts tomorrow and continues until Monday.

Athletes from athletics clubs at under-13, under-15, under-17, under-20, seniors and masters level are being asked to go the distance in a 15-minute challenge – while observing social distance guidelines.

Runners will be asked to submit one attempt at the challenge.

They will then be asked to upload their time with Strava and Garmin which will be recorded for its scoring system.

The competition will be in four different categories.

They include total distance by individual age and gender, total distance by four-person mixed team, total distance by age category and total distance by all club members.

However, athletes are being asked to avoid busy parks and running routes if possible and maintain a two-metre gap on others when passing.

Clubs and individuals can enter at the Scottish Athletics website, which will stay open until midnight tonight.
