Houston aiming for ultimate deal in 2019

Inverness’s mixed martial arts world champion Ross Houston is happy to bide his time in order to achieve his goal of competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The Cage Warriors welterweight champion reached the top of his weight class in Europe by winning the title from Stefano Paterno in October.

That has meant bigger companies from around the world are taking notice of the Hitman, but he only has eyes for UFC.

“We’ve had a few contract offers from some big promotions as well, but none of them are UFC, which is the major goal,” Houston said.
