INSPIRATIONAL sharpshooter Ronald Ross has been surprisingly named as Scotland under-21s manager.

Ross will be joined by Kyles Athletic’s highly regarded coach James Perlich and Jason Latto as his assistants, while Jemma Docker remains fitness coach.

Ross, who has scored over 1000 goals while playing at the highest level for Kingussie, has worked as a development officer for the association over the last decade.

The Camanachd Association has moved quickly to appoint Ross in their international coaching line up with Drew McNeil remaining in charge of the senior side for the third consecutive year.

Kenny Ross and George Hay remain McNeil’s assistants while Neil Bowman stays as fitness coach.
