Highland ready for a tough October

Highland RFC’s National Two season could be defined in their next four games as assistant manager Chris Brogan believes his team will be facing three of their main challengers to win the league.

Tomorrow they head to league leaders Biggar who are the only team in the division with a 100 per cent record having won all five of their matches.

The following week, Highland host Dumfries Saints who are the top point scorers in the division but are lying fifth in the table.

Highland then travel to second bottom Glasgow Academicals before hosting Stewart Melville’s FP who were relegated from National One last year but are tipped to be among the contenders to gain promotion after winning four out of five so far.

But Highland, who won National Three last season have been in impressive form as they lie in second place after winning four of their first five matches.
