Highland Rugby Club celebrate winning promotion to National One.

Highland Rugby Club have will be playing National One rugby next season after winning promotion this afternoon.

Highland only needed two points to guarantee a top-two spot in National Two with a game to spare, and they more than achieved that by thrashing Howe of Fife 77-12.

It marks the latest triumph in a series of promotions for the Canal Park outfit, who were playing four tiers below just a handful of years ago.

Next weekend's match away at third-placed Stewart's Melville now becomes a dead rubber, as Highland cannot win the league and Melville cannot overtake them.
