The Grantown on Spey club confirmed this afternoon Brown stood down from the post last night with the club currently bottom of the table.

Brown was appointed in charge at Seafield Park in June 2021, when he led the team to 16th place in the Highland League.

This season, the Jags currently find themselves bottom of the table on five points, losing 16 of their 19 games with only one win so far.

The club released a statement today which read: "Strathspey Thistle would like to confirm as from yesterday afternoon Charlie Brown has stood down from his role of team Manager with immediate effect.

"The club would like to put on record their great appreciation of Charlie’s professionalism and effort he gave to the club in this tough time.

"Thank you Charlie Brown and we wish you all the best for the future."
