HIGHLAND Rugby Club hosts coach Davie Carson’s charity rugby tournament for Macmillan Cancer Support tomorrow.

Last year’s inaugural competition was a massive success, raising several thousand pounds for the cancer charity.

The format is the same: squads of 10 players for seven-a-side touch rugby with at least three female players. Team entry is £100 (or £10 each) and the first match is at 1.30pm.

The winners will receive the Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition Trophy. A great day out for players and spectators alike with a BBQ all day and a celebration disco starting in the clubhouse at 6pm.

Andrew Findlater has been named Caledonian player of the year and will be presented with his award at the SRU club awards dinner on May 27. Steven Rutledge has been nominated for the SRU try of the year.
