Highland head coach Carson looking forward to welcoming Edinburgh Accies to Canal Park

Highland Rugby Club head coach Dave Carson is looking forward to another testing friendly this weekend against Edinburgh Academicals at Canal Park in Inverness.

Last week Highland welcomed National One champions Marr to the Highlands, and were put through their paces against the Premiership newcomers.

“We were given a tough test by Marr last weekend and it doesn’t get any easier this weekend as Edinburgh are another top drawer side from the Premiership,” Carson said.

“We have played them for the last four years in pre-season, and it’s something the players and our supporters all look forward to.

“A lot of our younger players who come through our youth system leave to go to uni and end up in Edinburgh, and when they go down we know they will be well looked after by Accies and their director of coaching Bob Easson.”
